  2. Antiseptic - prevents the development of inflammatory processes, relieves the symptoms of colds, exacerbations of chronic joint diseases.
  3. Cholagogue - helps to normalize the liver, remove excess sugar from the body and cleanse the blood.
  4. Bracing - saturates the body with vitamins, helps maintain a healthy immune system, warm and restore the body.

How to prepare cranberry tincture: general rules

Even those who have not previously been involved in the preparation of alcohol will be able to make lingonberry tincture at home. The process is simple and does not require a specific approach. To prepare, you need to follow a few general rules and steps:

  1. Take a quality, well-selected berry, make sure that there are no spoiled and fermented fruits in it. Wash the fruit base thoroughly in several shifts of warm water or in the shower.
  2. Use only pure alcohol: ethyl alcohol, good vodka or brandy, gin or rum, double-brewed moonshine. Consider the basic flavor in each drink. For the first time, it is better to try to insist the berry on vodka or alcohol, and then, with the advent of experience, experiment with tastes.
  3. The berries are laid in whole jars or ground without adding sugar. Such a drink will prepare faster.
  4. Spices for lingonberries are usually not put, although in such tinctures mint, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, orange peel and other citruses can occur.
  5. Alcohol is insisted first without sweeteners, and sugar, honey or fructose is added at the end to taste. Tincture can be left acidic, made neutral or dessert, right up to the state of sugary liquor.
  6. Berry insist on average 2-3 weeks. A light smack of lingonberry in alcohol can be obtained in 4–9 days of lag, the longer the workpiece stays, the thicker the fruit taste will be.
  7. After settling, the drink is strained and filtered - in the case of puree-based preparation, there will be a lot of sediment. First, alcohol is passed through cheesecloth or a sieve to remove a hard precipitate, and then I use coffee filters to clean the tincture of subtle suspended particles.

Store the finished berry drink preferably in a refrigerator or bar at a temperature of 10-16 degrees in a tightly closed clean (steam-sterilized) bottle.

Note! Frozen fruits are as good as fresh, they can also be taken for a drink.

Take strong alcohol 45-70 degrees in the proportions of 1 liter per 1 kg of berries. It will take 40-100 grams of honey or sugar - depending on your taste preferences. The berries are not ground, poured into a prepared jar, pour alcohol and insist for about a month in a dark place. After that, the drink is filtered and sweetened.

Useful advice: to make the taste of the drink more piquant, sugar can be boiled to a syrup state - then a caramel flavor will appear.

The finished drink is allowed to infuse a few more days before use.

Quick recipe
If you are soon waiting for guests, they can be pampered with such a drink: 1 cup lingonberries rubbed with 3/4 cup sugar and pour a glass of strong alcohol (from 45 °). The drink is kept on a shelf for a week, after which it is filtered - and you can serve it.

Classic recipe for vodka or cognac
To get a table drink of medium strength - 20-25 °, take high-quality vodka or cognac, which will add woody notes to the tincture. Proportions - 1 liter of alcohol per 0.5 kg of fruit puree, sweetness - 30-60 grams for a moderately sweet drink, 70-120 - for dessert. Withstand tincture for about a month, sugar is introduced after straining.
