How to cook stewed cherries

Classic Stewed Cherry

  • filtered water - 2.7 l.
  • fresh cherry berries - 650 gr.
  • granulated sugar - 250 gr.
  1. Carefully sort the berries, get rid of rotten and damaged specimens. Send a pot of water to the stove, bring to a boil. When the first bubbles appear, add the cherry.
  2. Boil the fruits for 5 minutes. Then pour in granulated sugar. Wait a few more minutes. Thoroughly mix the components, turn off the burner.
  3. Pour the cooked cherry compote into a suitable container. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate.

Compote based on cherries

  • cherry - 400 gr.
  • sweet cherry - 250 gr.
  • granulated sugar - 320 gr.
  • citric acid - 2 gr.

  1. Rinse and if necessary, sort the berries, remove the stalks. Send the enameled pan to the hotplate, pour in water, wait for the first bubbles to appear.
  2. Then pour in the required amount of granulated sugar and citric acid. Stir components thoroughly until crystals are completely dissolved.
  3. Add the berries. Cook the compote for about half an hour, turn off the stove. Cover the pan with a tight lid, wrap the container with a warm towel. Wait for cooling, drink compote chilled.

Stewed cherries with apples

  • pitted cherries - 600 gr.
  • sugar - 300 gr.
  • apples - 900 gr.
  1. Rinse apples, peel and core. Chop into small pieces. Next, send the fruit to a suitable pot, pour in the required amount of water.
  2. Send the pan to the stove, bring the composition to a boil. After the first bubbles appear, reduce the burner power to a minimum. Pour in the frozen cherry.
  3. Strain the components for about 15-20 minutes. Leave the composition with the lid closed for a while. Before use, it is recommended to cool the compote.

Stewed cherries and orange zest

  • sugar - 750 gr.
  • fresh cherry - 1.5 kg.
  • apples - 2 kg.
  • orange peel - 120 gr.
  1. Wash the apples thoroughly, cut into small slices, and get rid of the core. Then proceed to the preparation of cherries, rinse and sort the fruits.
  2. Put the food in a suitable pan, pour boiling water. Cook the ingredients for 20 minutes, after the allotted time pour in granulated sugar.
  3. Finely chop the zest of the orange and add to the total mass. Stew compote for another 10-15 minutes. After this, cool the liquid, serve with ice and fresh mint leaves.

Cherry compote with liquor

  • granulated sugar - 450 gr.
  • cherry liquor - 120 ml.
  • apples - 900 gr.
  • ripe cherries - 1 kg.
  1. In the usual way, rinse and sort the cherries and apples. Remove the peel from the fruit, cut the core. Chop the apples into small slices.
  2. Send the cherries and fruit slices into a thick-bottomed pan, pour in the required amount of water. As soon as the composition boils, reduce the burner to a minimum.
  3. Pour granulated sugar, simmer compote on the stove for 25 minutes. Cover the pan, remove from the burner. Wrap with a blanket, the composition should completely cool.
  4. Cool the drink, pour the compote into glasses, add 15 ml to each container. cherry liquor. Garnish the treat with fresh berry and a leaf of mint.

Blackcurrant Cherry Compote

  • Cherry - 300 gr.
  • currant - 150 gr.
  • sugar - 120 gr.

  2. Boil the composition, turn off the burner. Cover the pan, wrap the container with a towel. Allow the compote to infuse and cool.

  • granulated sugar - 250 gr.
  • drinking water - 3 l.
  • frozen cherry - 550 gr.
  • lemon - ½ pcs.
  1. Pour the required amount of water into the pan, send it to the stove. Squeeze the juice from the lemon into a common container.
  2. Add granulated sugar and frozen berries to the pan. Mix the components thoroughly.
  3. Wait for the first bubbles to appear. After that, turn off the heat, remove the pan to the side.
  4. Cover the container with a warm towel. Let the compote brew for about 3 hours.

Stewed cherries and raspberries

  • fresh cherry - 950 gr.
  • raspberries - 550 gr.
  • granulated sugar - 200 gr.
  • drinking water - 2.8 l.
  1. Sort the raspberries, remove the stalks, rinse thoroughly with running water. Throw the product in a colander, wait for the liquid to completely glass.
  2. Perform a similar manipulation with cherries, also remove the branches. Put the berries in an enamel pan, pour in drinking water. Send the container to the stove, turn on the fire.
  3. As soon as the composition boils, add granulated sugar. Stir the ingredients thoroughly until the crystals are completely dissolved. Stew compote for about 10 minutes, remove the pan from the stove.
  4. Pour the finished drink into pre-sterilized cans. Roll glass containers with lids. Wrap the jars with a towel, after cooling, place them in a cool place. Also, compote can be consumed after cooking in a cold state.

  • Cherry - 120 gr.
  • apple - 1 pc.
  • any berries - 70 gr.
  • sugar - 130 gr.
  1. Sort and wash the products, cut the middle of the apple. It is advisable to extract the seeds from the cherry. Chop the apples into small pieces.
  2. Put all the ingredients in the multi-bowl, pour in the required amount of water. Set the mode “Steaming” on the household appliance, simmer the composition for 12 minutes. You can use compote in any form.

Cherry compote without sterilization

  • sugar - 180 gr.
  • Cherry - 600 gr.
  • citric acid - 12 gr.

  1. Sort and wash the berries in the usual way, get rid of spoiled specimens. Take a suitable cup, pour in cold water, put cherries in it, wait 25 minutes.
  2. Thoroughly rinse the glass container for compote, dry the jars. After all the manipulations carried out, place the cherry in the container.
  3. Pour an equal amount of loose ingredients into each jar. Boil water, steam the lids for seaming in parallel.
  4. Pour boiling water into jars, do the manipulations with extreme care. Otherwise, you run the risk of glass cracking.
  5. Roll up glass jars with hot lids. Turn the container upside down, shake a little. Put the cans upside down to cool completely. Keep the drink in a cool place.
