  4. Pepper is cooked quickly, therefore, in combination with other vegetables, it is added to the pan one of the last, otherwise the slices will burn, dry out or fill with butter.

Do not forget that pepper contains a fairly high level of natural sugars. This must be taken into account when calculating the amount of salt per dish.

Fry pepper in tomato sauce

One of the classic recipes with tomatoes and garlic presents us with pepper as a delicious snack or main course.

For cooking you will need:

  • Tomatoes - 500 g.
  • Garlic - 4 prongs.
  • Sunflower oil - 50 g.
  • Ground black pepper, coriander, salt, sugar - to taste.

  • Fresh basil - 3-4 branches.
  • Fresh sweet pepper - 4 amount

Tomatoes need to be peeled, for this they are incised with a cross and put boiling water for half a minute. Then the tomatoes are pulled out with a slotted spoon or drained through a colander and poured with cold water. After such a "contrasting shower" the film exfoliates by itself.

The resulting pulp is ground in mashed potatoes or cut into cubes, seasonings are ground and fried in a heated pan with the addition of oil (25-30 g). First, let the garlic stew for about a minute, until a spicy aroma starts, and then add the tomatoes and herbs, salt and pepper the mixture. Sugar can not be added, but it will make the sauce more "voluminous".

The sauce is stewed for about 30 minutes under a lid, after which it is removed from the heat and allowed to cool. You can grind the finished mixture with a blender until smooth.

Peppers can be fried whole or peeled. The pulp is spread on a frying pan and cooked on all sides until a golden crust is formed.

First, fry the onions to make them soft, add carrots, peppers and herbs, salt the vegetables and simmer under the lid until all the ingredients are soft.Before removing from heat, add a little sugar and tomato to the sauce (fresh tomato is cut into quarters of thin rings), mix and leave under the lid, turning off the heat.
