How to clean the smoker's lungs at home

Cigarettes are drugs like marijuana or heroin, only affordable and legal. Nicotine is not just addictive, but gradually destroys the body of a smoker. Poisonous substances that enter the lungs along with smoke settle on the alveoli and glue them, irritate the mucous membrane and promote the development of oncology. People who do not want to die at an early age from tissue hypoxia or cancer should throw away cigarettes and cleanse their respiratory organs.

How to clean the smoker's lungs

General cleaning of the lungs

First you need to free the alveoli from the accumulated resins and soothe the inflamed mucosa. Decoctions and other natural remedies that stimulate sputum discharge are recommended. The body, along with mucus, removes the toxic effects of nicotine addiction and is gradually restored.

  • oregano and violet tricolor: a spoonful of each plant in a glass of boiling water;
  • crushed licorice or elecampane root: 15–20 g of raw material per cup of hot water;
  • pine buds: 30 g per 250 ml of boiling water.

Take the broth for at least a month to make it easier to breathe, and chronic bronchitis has disappeared. At the same time, immunity should be restored. A bay leaf that needs to be laid out in the corners of the apartment will do. The spice cleans the air of bacteria and relieves coughing attacks.

Weakened immunity needs a lot of vitamin C. Citruses saturate the body with ascorbic acid, so a paste of ground lemons and honey should be taken daily. Take the products in equal parts, beat in a blender and pour into a jar. Do not remove the peel from lemons, it has many useful components. Eat daily on a tablespoon of pasta, preferably on an empty stomach, if acidity is normal and does not torment heartburn.

Finely chop a large onion, put on a saucer. Sprinkle with sugar and send to a warm place so that the product starts juice. Express the syrup and divide into 4 servings that you need to drink in a day. Peel onions once a week.

You can prepare a therapeutic syrup according to another recipe. It will take a few onions and garlic heads without husks. Spread shredded components in a jar in layers, smearing each with honey. Put the container in the sun and wait 4-5 hours until enough juice stands out.

Separate the syrup from the onion-garlic mass, store in a glass bottle or jar. Every day, drink several tablespoons of the product on a full stomach so as not to burn the mucous membrane.

Former smokers should get acquainted with yoga, love the long evening walks and the pool. To restore the lungs, they need to be regularly trained: running, cycling, cardio training. The loads in the first few months should be moderate, because the respiratory organs and the cardiovascular system are just starting to update and are too weak for intensive workouts.

Without puffing out your cheeks, blow half the air through your mouth. Hold your breath again for 3 seconds. Blow out the remaining carbon dioxide. Repeat 4-7 times.

To cleanse the lungs, a contrast shower, a bath and steam inhalations are useful. You can buy a special device or breathe hot air over the pan. Inhalations are made from a solution of sea salt, ordinary water or herbal decoctions. You can mix the base with essential oils:

  • almond;
  • eucalyptus;
  • mint;
  • cedar.

The air in the house must be regularly moistened so that it is not too dry and does not irritate the bronchi. In winter, open the window for 10-15 minutes, and in summer leave the windows open for the whole day so that oxygen enters the room.

After how long will the lungs clear of mucus and tar? Depends on the experience, general health of the former smoker and the individual characteristics of his body. Some will need 3-4 months, while others will not be enough years to get rid of bronchitis and shortness of breath. You need to regularly exercise, take decoctions and monitor the diet in order to accelerate lung recovery and eliminate the effects of smoking.
