Useful qualities of avocado

There is an opinion that only those fruits that grow on their native land are useful, and each body has a rejection of overseas guests. But in fact, in fruits, the homeland of which are far-off countries, many vitamins and useful substances are hidden. They help restore the immune system, positively affect the work of many organs.

Avocados do not grow with us. To do this, he does not have enough heat. But in the tropical and subtropical regions, primarily in Brazil, America and Israel, there are more than 400 varieties, and from a single tree you can get a significant yield - up to 200 kg.

In their nutritional value, they significantly exceeded many fruits. There are a lot of them:

  • vitamins - groups B, as well as A, K and C;
  • fatty acids of various kinds;
  • trace elements.

All these substances help in the development of the fetus, contribute to the formation of healthy organs. During this period, when vital systems are established, the amount of nutrients can play a significant role. For example:

  1. The folic acid present in avocados, which is responsible for tissue growth, can help prevent a defect such as cleft lip.
  2. Copper, which is also found in an exotic fruit, does not allow anemia to develop, riboflovin takes an active part in the formation of red blood cells. These and other substances directly affect the development of the fetus, helping in the formation of brain cells, nervous and reproductive systems, and organs of vision.
  3. And if a pregnant woman has pathologies associated with the cardiovascular or digestive system, immunity is significantly reduced, then this fruit will bring many benefits. This is due to potassium, which, in addition, monitors the correct water-salt metabolism and does not allow depression to develop.
  4. Polyunsaturated fats will be able to improve memory and focus. Therefore, adhering to the correct diet, pregnant women often include avocados in their menu, especially since it can often replace meat and fatty foods.
  5. There is another important advantage of avocados during pregnancy. Often, tender female skin is spoiled by stretch marks that cannot be prevented. With each week of pregnancy, they appear more and more on the abdomen and hips, and then on the chest. But those women who prefer avocados to other fruits have made the right choice. This fruit contains substances that moisturize the skin and nourish, while managing to heal wounds and reduce traces of stretch marks. For such cases, procedures are provided that are carried out as follows: the pulp is crushed, a little olive oil is added to it. The mixture is then applied to a cotton fabric and applied to the desired area for 15 minutes. This procedure is simple, but the effect of it will soon be noticeable.

How to use

All the beneficial properties contained in an avocado are most effective when the fruit has not undergone heat treatment. It is eaten by preparing a salad, making a paste with the addition of butter or simply dividing it into parts. Due to its neutral taste, this fruit goes well not only with other fruits, but also with vegetables.

One pulp is used in food, it is impossible to eat a bone.If it does enter the body, it can cause poisoning and damage the intestines.

Pregnant women need to eat avocados with caution!

Including it in the diet, it should be remembered that the avocado is chemically treated during cultivation and during transportation. Therefore, it should be washed thoroughly.

In a woman during pregnancy, an allergic reaction may suddenly begin to those products that the body previously perceived normally. Foods may affect digestion. To make sure that the body does not respond with an unusual reaction after eating an avocado, proceed as follows:

  • wash the fruit and bite off a small piece;
  • Before swallowing, you need to chew a piece carefully;
  • wait about an hour to make sure that no negative consequences have occurred.

If everything is fine, then you can let half of the fruit be eaten every day. But still, consulting a doctor, what dose of avocado is acceptable, will come in handy.

In addition to avocados, a pregnant woman eats other foods. But since this tropical fruit is very nutritious, often the body refuses other food. Therefore, the menu should be diverse, and the fruits should also be those that grow in this region.

Avocado oil is just as healthy

For the preparation of many dishes, you can use oil made from avocado. The content of useful substances in it is almost the same, but on its fat basis salads and sauces, fish and meat dishes acquire a pleasant unique taste.

If you add lime or lemon juice to the oil, you will not need mayonnaise to refuel the dishes, which means that the “bad” cholesterol in the blood will decrease.

Avocado oil will help reduce the risk of stretch marks by mixing it with olive or almond oil and applying it to the skin, wrapping it with a cotton cloth on top. Avocado oil will help restore the natural shine to hair depleted during pregnancy. Thanks to this mask, they will receive additional nutrition.

Contraindications

What you need to know when buying avocados

It's a shame when it turns out that the top layer is quite soft, and the middle itself is tasteless due to the astringent taste, talking about the ripeness of the fruit. In order for this fruit to give pleasure, when buying, you should pay attention to such signs:

  • Colour;
  • softness;
  • stalk.

So what you should know:

  1. When the fruit is too hard, and the color is light green, then its time will come in about 5 days. While it is not needed.
  2. Again, the fruit is solid, but the color is different in that it has a moderate green hue. This means that in three days it will be possible to eat avocados.
  3. The fruit is soft only slightly, and its color is deep green. It can be tasted in a day.
  4. Saturated dark green and soft fruit can be eaten almost immediately.
  5. That avocado, which is soft and has a very dark color, has already oversaturated, having lost its unique taste. But such a fruit cannot be confused with a natural black avocado called haas.
  6. According to the handle, you can find out if the avocado is ready for food. If under the cuttings you can find the space of bright yellow light, you can safely buy it. But a dark brown hue will confirm that this fruit is clearly overripe.

A pregnant woman needs additional useful substances, which for two are clearly not enough. And to compensate for this shortcoming will help the fruits of avocados.
