Ural Rex - breed description and cat character

Ural Rex is a rather rare native breed. The body of such cats is covered with curly hair, and the curls themselves are soft and gentle to the touch. The breed is distinguished by absolute naturalness. No one made any efforts to its artificial appearance.

Although the breed belongs to Rex, the representative of the Ural variety has a slightly different appearance of curly hair. Wool is akin to velvet and it cannot cause any feelings, except admiration. The one who gets such a kitten gets a real friend who becomes a full member of the family.

Historical background of the breed

It is easy to guess that the Urals are the birthplace of such cats. The breed was started by the cat Vaska, who lived in the city of Zarechny, Sverdlovsk regional region.
