Features and benefits of culture

The main distinguishing characteristics of the variety:

  1. Assignment to parthenocarpic species, which means the formation of a plant by a plant without pollination. The fruit itself has no seeds.
  2. Female type of flowering. Flowers of a cucumber of this type of flowering differ in ovary, or rather a small cucumber.
  3. Active ability to form strong lashes and fruit sets.
  4. Friendly ripening of a cucumber crop.

Externally, the plant can be distinguished by a bright green color and wrinkled leaves with slightly wavy or even edges. The height of the bush of this hybrid is up to two meters.

Cucumbers are intended for use both fresh and in conservation. They have high taste and aesthetic qualities.

Advantages of culture:

  1. The ability to ripen in open ground conditions and in film constructions. This is due to the fact that its growth does not require sunlight. The culture loves good lighting, but quietly tolerates its absence, which does not affect yield indicators. Its cultivation is also carried out in greenhouse blocks equipped with a heating system.
  2. Pollination is not required for fruiting.
  3. A high yield of cucumbers, which are formed by the beam type: up to three pieces in one node. During the season from 1 m2 you can collect up to 16 kg of cucumbers.
  4. Resistance to many cucumber diseases, including olive spotting of the skin, flour dew, mosaic.

Fruit Description

Cucumbers have a characteristic crispy structure, inside are dense, without the formation of voids. The main external signs:

  1. Juicy dark green color.
  2. Roughness of the surface: the presence of small rarely located from each other tubercles.
  3. Small white spikes all over the skin.
  4. The weight of one cucumber is up to 110 gr. with its length up to 15 cm. The diameter of the cucumber is about 3.0 cm.

Growing technology

Cucumber crop can be planted in two ways:

  • seedlings;
  • directly on the site.

Seedling method is used if you want to get a crop in the shortest possible time. From the moment the first shoots appear until the cucumbers ripen, a time interval of 45 days passes.

To obtain seedlings, the seeds are pre-disinfected, then sown in boxes filled with soil to a depth of 2.0 cm. From the time of emergence of seedlings to the age of 20 days, they are looked after: watered with warm water and fed with organic fertilizers. After the seedlings are transplanted to already permanent places of their cultivation, observing the planting pattern of 0.5 to 0.5 m. When planting seedlings, it has 4-6 leaves.

Cultivation of cucumbers varieties Moscow evenings F1

The goal of all gardeners growing vegetable crops is to determine the best method of planting crops to obtain the maximum amount of yield from the smallest area plot. In the process of conducting various experimental plantings, this variety of cucumbers showed itself well when cultivated in the following ways:

  1. Bulk plastic bags are taken that hold at least 100 liters. You can use ordinary canvas bags. They plant up to three plants. As a soil peat, sand or humus is suitable.Watering the culture is carried out by supplying the necessary water to the hollow tubes, which are installed around a high stake driven into the center. Hooks with fishing line on the end are attached to the stake. Three small pegs are driven into the circle of planted plants, to which the second ends of the lines are attached. Plants will climb up these lines.
  2. A stake or a regular sharp stick with a hook at the top is driven into the center of a circle with a diameter of about two meters. On the outer base of the circle, seedlings are planted, which, growing up, catch on their tendrils for fishing lines, stretched with a hook and located near each bush, small hammered pegs. This is a hut growing method.
  3. Culture is planted on two narrow beds parallel to each other, at the beginning and at the end of which stakes are driven in at an angle. On top of them is a rail connecting all four driven stake. Along the rail, a stretched fishing line descends to each plant. As they grow, the plants will stretch upward along it. This option is called slanted trellis cultivation.

Care

Regardless of the method of cultivation, the hybrid needs the same care. The plant is abundantly watered with water heated under a sun in a barrel. Watering is recommended in the evening, after sunset. As a top dressing, various types of fertilizers are used. They change as the plants grow. From the very beginning of planting, nitrogen fertilizers are used, which, by the time of the appearance of the flowers, are replaced by phosphorus and potassium mixtures. The appearance of the first fruits marks the transition to mineral fertilizers. Feeding is done every 8-10 days.

Loosening the soil contributes to the fight against parasites that live on the root system, improves aeration of the roots. To ensure normal growth of the culture, it is sufficient to loosen one to two times a week.

Pest control attacking horticultural culture involves the processing of leaves and stems in one of the following ways:

  1. Treatment with toxic chemical solutions.
  2. Treatment with soapy water or copper sulfate.
  3. Use of folk remedies: infusion obtained from the husks of onions or garlic.

The practice of growing horticultural crops has demonstrated high yields even in the absence of sun. Throughout the growing season, cucumbers retain their taste and aromatic qualities.
