Nutmeg oil - properties and applications

The fruit of a plant unusual for our regions - nutmeg (Myristica Fragrans), whose homeland is Indonesia, served as a discovery for humanity. Its unique composition and properties were studied, so the production of nutmeg essential oil began. The substance possessing a psychophysical effect is light yellow, of a viscous consistency, with a spicy, bitter-sweet aroma.

Nutmeg oil

To produce oil, the standard distillation method is used, and after crushing, the steam distillation method is used. In the production, the fruits of the fragrant muscatel are ripe and burst without human intervention. Sometimes in the implementation you can see the oil extracted from the soft peel of a nut. They store the finished product in a dark place in a glass bowl for about 2 years.

Composition

The use of oil is due to its rich chemical composition. This is a storehouse of vitamins, macro and trace elements.

  6. To rinse: Take a teaspoon of emulsifier (salt, honey, soda), combine with nutmeg essential oil (1 drop). Dilute in a glass of heated water.
  7. For inhalation: Hot (3-5 minutes), cold (2-3 minutes) - 1 drop of nutmeg concentrate.
  8. Remedy for mosquito bites: Base oil or body milk (50 ml) is combined with nutmeg (15 drops), distributed into even layers on exposed skin.
  9. Cosmetic ice: Nutmeg ester (2 drops) is combined with industrial cream for cosmetic purposes (1 teaspoon), mixed to uniformity with water (200 ml), frozen in ice cubes. Use to wipe face, neck. Cosmetic cream can be replaced with honey.
  10. Nutritious hair mask: Nutmeg concentrate (5-7 drops) is combined with clay, balsam, macadamia oil (7 ml), distributed over the skin between the hair, wrapped and allowed to drink (15 minutes).
  11. Warm mask from acne and post-acne scars: Honey (1 tbsp.spoon) is combined with cinnamon (a fourth part of a teaspoon), butternut oil (1 drop).
