Avocado oil for the face - benefits and applications

Little was known about the avocado, or as it is also called “earthen pear,” in the Soviet Union. With the opening of the Iron Curtain, more complete information about certain exotic products began to leak into the CIS countries. Their healing properties began to be studied more deeply, pharmacological and cosmetology laboratories began to actively develop cosmetics based on these products.

Avocado oil for face

The avocado fruit itself was known back in ancient times. Maya and the Aztecs widely used it in cooking, especially in food for young warriors, since the fruit is unusually high-calorie and provides the human body with strength and energy for a long time. Avocados were also used for domestic purposes - the wheel axles of carts and various twisted ropes were lubricated with its oily substance for better gliding when lifting heavy stone blocks. Avocado was considered a worthy gift for marriage at wedding ceremonies: it was presented to a woman with the aim of maintaining external beauty, to a man as a symbol of “mighty seed” and the best guardian and multiplier of “male power”.

“Earthen pears” grow on small trees, mainly in the Central and Equatorial parts of the American continent (Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Nicaragua, Peru, etc.) and are successfully cultivated in India, Spain, Malaysia and some African countries.

Avocados were brought to the European part by one of the Portuguese expeditions inspired by Columbus' discoveries, around the middle of the 16th century. Initially, the fruit was treated lightly, with a touch of irony, but later, in one of the lean years for potatoes, its nutritional properties were widely appreciated.

One of the most valuable components of this uncomplicated vegetable-like fruit is its oil, obtained by squeezing the product. At the moment, few people are not familiar with it from a culinary point of view - it is actively added to various food dishes, sauces, and even to some confectionery sweets. It has also gained popularity in oriental dishes - it is actively used in food by Arabs, who are sensitive to potency, the Chinese, who liked its peculiar taste, and the Vietnamese found a wonderful combination of sauces with avocados and seafood.

One fruit contains a huge amount of nutritious easily assimilable lipid compounds, a daily dose of vitamins of groups A, B, C, D, E, F, as well as calcium, potassium, zinc, iodine compounds that can eliminate the deficiency of these trace elements that occurs during off-season.

Of particular value to this product is the trace element antioxidant squalene. It breaks down and removes unnecessary cholesterol from the body, helps to synthesize sex hormones, has an absorbent property against toxic substances and is even able to inhibit the formation of carcinogenic cells by neutralizing the harmful effects of free radicals, thereby putting a damper on such a formidable disease as cancer.

Avocado oil as an ideal cosmetic

  1. Experts from all over the world are delighted with the versatility of its application with respect to all types of face skin, neck, hair structure. Despite its greasy texture, avocado oil is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving a characteristic greasy shine on the surface.
  2. Another distinctive feature of this product is its deep absorption. Penetrating into the most remote cells of the epidermis, the drug has a stimulating effect on the receptors responsible for the production of such necessary elements as collagen and elastin.
  3. Another important factor is the content in the product of a large amount of steol, which is a natural “aromadisiac” and one of the natural estrogens. Thanks to it, the formation of natural senile wrinkles is slowed down, and expression lines are noticeably smoothed.
  4. Squalene, contained in large quantities in the pulp surrounding the bone, creates an obstacle to the negative effects of radioactive substances, neutralizes free radicals and helps to remove toxic molecules of harmful impurities or toxins accumulated by the skin from the skin surface.
  5. An important feature of avocados is the correction of the activity of the sebaceous glands: with oily skin, various ethereal molecules contained in the skin of the product and the pulp located immediately below it have their effect. They reduce secretion production, thereby reducing the glossy gloss of the nasolabial triangle.
  6. With dry skin, the main component is the main component - juice or avocado oil, playing the role of a moisturizer. Thus, both functions make avocado oil a truly multifunctional skin care product.
