Practical recommendations

  1. Professional craftsmen who have many years of experience working with fur products categorically do not recommend using pure acetone or vinegar essence for processing fur. This advice is relevant not only for products from Arctic fox, it applies to collars and fur coats from any fur.
  2. Refuse to dry the fur coat near radiators and other thermal appliances, otherwise you will not be able to avoid damage to things. It is forbidden to influence the product from the fox with heating appliances for domestic use (gas stove, hair dryer, oven, etc.). The best option for drying is considered to be fresh air and natural light away from direct UV rays.
  3. Arctic fox is a practical furs, but at the same time it is overly capricious. Products of this kind do not tolerate fragrances, so do not spray the thing with perfume. The recommendation is relevant in the case of stylers and hair sprays that glue the pile, exposing it to drying and further deformation. The same applies to alcohol and moth sprays.
  4. It is strictly forbidden to machine wash the fox coat. By and large, manual processing is extremely undesirable. However, if such a need arose, the temperature regime of water should not exceed the mark of 35 degrees. In addition, it is worth remembering forever that you can not act on the fur mechanically (spin, twisting, etc.).

How to clean fox fur

Experienced housewives have developed effective recipes that will help to cope with pollution and yellowing of fur at home. In this case, before starting the procedure, it is necessary to conduct a test. Apply a small amount of the prepared composition to the area invisible to the eyes, wait a bit, rinse, dry and examine the product. If the fur has not bald and has not changed its shade, proceed with the processing of the entire Arctic fox coat.

Semolina
Prepare semolina or corn starch in the amount of 1.7 kg in advance., Basin, compact vacuum cleaner with a clean brush (you can use a car). It is not uncommon for clothes to have a high degree of pollution, open the fur from the lining fabric, and process it separately.

Pour 8 liters of warm water (preferably filtered) into a bowl, pour in corn starch or semolina, and wait for swelling. Place the arctic coat / collar in the cooked mass, wait 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and dry.

At the end of the drying, the pile will stick together, shake the coat over the bath, then walk through it with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. Lay a white sheet on a flat surface, lay out a fur product for partial drying.

When the coat is a little wet, hang it on your shoulders, dry it completely, shake it again and vacuum it. At the end of all operations, wash the lining and sew it to the fur.

Hydrogen peroxide solution
The composition is prepared to remove grayness and yellowness on white fox products. Typically, this phenomenon is observed in cases where the drying or wet treatment of the fur coat is impaired.Prepare a solution of 270 ml. purified water, 25 ml., hydrogen peroxide (3%), 25 ml. ammonia.

Hydrogen peroxide solution

Mix all the components, transfer them to a container with a spray (spray), bring it to the fur coat and spray it from a distance of 35-45 cm.

Try to handle the thing so that the liquid droplets are evenly spaced along the pile. In this case, you should not get large wet spots, otherwise the fur coat will bleach unevenly.

At the end of spraying, walk with a wet brush for clothes or animals along the villi, do not apply pressure. The method is designed to clean both the whole product and its individual parts (cuffs, collar, etc.).

Flax bran
Wash and dry the pan, which does not stick to the bottom and walls. Put in a container of 80-110 gr. flax bran, heat, do not allow burning. Lay the product on the floor with a white sheet. Sprinkle with warm bran, begin to slowly rub them into the pile.

Leave the item for half an hour, after this period shake the fur coat and comb it with the animal brush in the direction of the coat. Hang the product on its shoulders, leave it for 3 hours, and then repeat the previous manipulations. To effectively remove the remains of bran, use a vacuum cleaner with a clean brush or a soft broom to process furniture.

Vinegar
In everyday life, table vinegar is used to maintain the color and texture of delicate fabrics. Therefore, the composition copes with the processing of fur products of any type.

To prepare the solution, take table vinegar with a concentration of from 6 to 9%, dilute it with filtered water in a ratio of 1: 3 (300 ml of liquid per 100 ml of product).

Dampen a cotton pad in the prepared essence, place the wardrobe item on the floor or table, walk with a cosmetic sponge 2-3 times in the coat. Be careful not to push or rub the stain.

At the end of the procedure, hang the coat on your shoulders, send it to the loggia or balcony to dry, then comb it with a pet brush.

It is worth remembering that any fur is a delicate product that requires careful handling. Do not confuse acetic solution with essence, the concentration of the second product is 10 times higher than the first.

Talc
For effective cleansing of a fox fur coat or collar, you need to purchase children's fragrance without fragrance or with chamomile. The technique involves dry processing of products that have been spent in a cabinet for a long time or are slightly dusty. Lay the fur coat on a flat surface, sprinkle it with talcum powder, rub the mixture into the wool. Wait a quarter of an hour for the powder to absorb dirt and traces of fat.

After that, shake the thing, comb it with a brush for animals, vacuum. If you are unable to remove the talc from the pile, use a hairdryer with cold blowing and comb. If desired, talc can be replaced with wheat flour, the processing technology is identical.

Fur products require a delicate approach, as a result of which it is worth paying attention to the choice of means for cleaning the pile. Use hydrogen peroxide (can be replaced with "Chlorhexidine"), flax bran, baby powder, vinegar (not to be confused with concentrated essence), semolina. Remember to do a preliminary test to convince the technology is safe.
