Blue clay for hair

The benefits of clay for hair

In those distant times, when chemical compounds and masks were not yet known to mankind, medicinal minerals and mud were the most popular hair care products. Blue clay, along with decoctions of herbs and fruit juices, was often used to restore the health of curls. Blue clay is a mineral found in volcanic rocks. Masks based on blue clay contain a huge number of trace elements - iron, magnesium, silicon, aluminum. Often it is the lack of these substances that leads to the deplorable state of the hair. Regular use of blue clay as part of masks will help completely transform your locks.

  1. Fat content. Clay, like any other mineral, is an excellent adsorbent that absorbs excess fat and lard. Blue clay is effective in combating greasy hair. It not only absorbs sebum, but also normalizes the sebaceous glands, tightens pores on the scalp, makes hair clean, silky and crumbly. The effect of using blue clay will be noticeable after the first application - the hair will not become soiled much longer.
  2. Split, thin and brittle ends. Very often, women notice that at the ends the hair (especially long) is thinner and weaker than at the roots. The reason is that most of the minerals that enter the hair from the roots simply do not reach the ends. From this, the ends are split off and in general look pathetic. You can saturate your hair with minerals not only from the inside, but also from the outside, clay is the best way to restore weakened ends.
  3. Dandruff and inflammation. Blue clay has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antimycotic effect. After exposure to clay, the skin on the head calms down, itching disappears, and inflammation is relieved. Long-term use of clay helps to completely get rid of dandruff, since the composition acts on the scalp, that is, on the focus of fungal infection. With the help of clay, you can forever forget about acne and boils on the scalp.
  4. Protection against external influences. Regular and systematic use of blue clay as a part of hair masks will allow you to create a thin natural layer on the surface of the hair, which not only adds volume to the strands, but also acts as a protective barrier. Hair will burn less in the sun, it will not dry out from the effects of a hair dryer and ironing, it will not become brittle after salt water and chlorinated pool water.

In general, blue clay is perfect for oily hair, as well as scorched and weakened strands. If you have thin and sparse hair that cannot be called a “mouse ponytail”, blue clay is exactly what you need. Minerals will help to make hair more thick, strong, crumbly and elastic. You will no longer collect curls in a tail or bundle. After using clay, you can proudly dissolve the strands and enjoy their health and beauty. But how to use the mineral?

How to apply blue clay for hair?

Using clay to prepare a mask is not difficult, the main thing is to find a quality product. It should be a natural mineral, and not just a powder painted in the right color. Remember that good clay cannot be cheap, as it is usually transported from afar.

The most primitive use of clay is to knead the powder in water to a state of porridge and apply to the hair. It should be borne in mind that clay should be applied not only directly to the hair, but also to the scalp. Especially if the problem is associated with excess fat curls. If you are struggling only with split ends, clay can be applied exactly to the ends, without distributing the composition along the entire length of the hair. Water for diluting clay should be taken warm, comfortable for the scalp. After applying the composition, the hair must be carefully collected in a bun, fixed on the top and wrapped with a film, on top - insulated with a terry towel. The mask is valid for 40-60 minutes, rinse off the composition only after the specified time.

If the clay is not small enough, pieces of minerals can get stuck in the hair, tangling them. Do not refuse such a product. On the contrary, such clay was less affected, which means that more natural raw materials were used. To cope with the problem, it is enough to add a little hair balm to the composition so that the consistency of the mask is oily and the minerals do not get stuck in wet strands. To enhance the effect of the mask, you can use the foundation for gruel. Instead of water, you can use concentrated decoctions of herbs, fruit and berry juices. If you want to achieve not just a visible, but a stunning effect, it is better to combine clay with other ingredients.

You can wrap the curls in a towel and rinse with clean water after an hour, but it will be much more useful if you dry the strands in a natural way, and then simply comb out the remaining minerals.
