In nature, there are a huge number of snake species. Among such a variety, there is a special snake, which has the name dunce. They belong to the family of vipers. The snake got this name due to the amazing placement of its front teeth. They are slightly enlarged. Such snakes, despite their awesome appearance, are not poisonous.
Habitat
It can often be found in forest areas, gardens, parks, as well as near human housing. It can live at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. The snake crawls very easily on a vertical surface.
The snake has a small body, not more than one meter in length. But in most cases, the caught creeping animal was not less than one meter. Dwarfs are common in Australia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Laos, India and so on. Due to the low abundance, the shrimp is listed in the Red Book of the USSR and Turkmenistan.
Appearance

The snake's face is a bit like a duck's beak from the cartoon. Such a slightly flattened shape allows you to successfully dig sandy or soft soil. The tail is short, with a sharp tip.

The snake bite is absolutely not fatal, but can cause pain. She only bites when she feels danger. Outwardly, it can be easily confused with a kraot snake, the bite of which is very toxic.
Snake habits
Wolfhounds are very mobile snakes. If alarmed, she may make a sound similar to the movement of rattlesnakes. With the onset of darkness and at dawn, they are most mobile. As a rule, she hides for a day under cover. With the onset of cold weather, the snake hibernates.
Nutrition
They prey on small lizards (geckos, skinks), and also eat frogs, eat small fish (gobies), and mice. If you catch it, then over time, with proper care, it becomes manual.
House maintenance
When keeping the puffer at home, it is important to ensure that there are no holes in the terrarium, since the snake can crawl away. They can hide where there is moisture. It is necessary to feed the snake once a week and clean it in the terrarium with the same frequency. At the bottom it is necessary to put a soft litter and provide the necessary lighting.
Breeding
Mating snakes falls in the spring, about a month in May. Wolfhounds lay eggs in order to reproduce offspring. This happens around June - July. As a rule, in one clutch there are no more than 11 eggs, they are small in size - no more than 2-3 centimeters in length and 1 centimeter in diameter. From the egg after 1.5 months, a small snake 15 centimeters long appears.
