Description

From 8 to 12 brushes with roundish bright red fruits are formed on the bush. The pulp of the fruit is fleshy, with a small number of seeds. This variety is ideal for canning, pickling, processing for tomato juice and pasta. The bush is moderately sprawling, gives an excellent crop in greenhouses and open ground. A large number of carotenoids and vitamins accumulate in the fruits.

A distinctive characteristic of the hybrid is its good transportability and keeping quality. Fruits after picking are stored up to three weeks. The plant is tall, requires the formation and tying to a support or trellis. The hybrid is ideal for growing in large numbers on farms for sale to the population.

Growing and further care

Tomatoes of this variety have gained particular relevance due to their outstanding taste and the ability to harvest a large crop throughout the summer until the frosts. Tomato Gunin refers to precocious hybrids.

Seed treatment before planting

Seeds are subjected to short-term heating, the temperature should not exceed 55 degrees. They are treated with biostimulants, and potassium permanganate.

Planted seed in cups in the first decade of March. So that the seeds begin to sprout faster, it is recommended to cover them with plastic wrap or glass. When condensation occurs, the seedlings are aired.

The size of the pots should be 8x8 cm. When diving, underdeveloped specimens are thrown out. Tomatoes after a pick are grown at a temperature of 22-24 degrees.

Peat pots

Seeding is carried out to a depth of not more than two centimeters. March is the optimum sowing time. The first shoots appear after 8 days. After the appearance of four true leaves, seedlings are transplanted.

  1. A transplant into the open ground is carried out at the moment when the threat of the last frost passes. If the seedlings will be grown in greenhouse conditions, then no more than three plants should fall on one square meter.
  2. In open ground, the number of plants is reduced to two copies. For quick rooting and development before planting, plants are fed with sodium humate.
  3. Fertilizing with fertilizers is an important point, and it is worth paying special attention to it. Proper feeding will help the plant to successfully start and in the future cope with diseases and pests. Fertilizing contributes to the accelerated development of the plant and its fruits.
  4. Wells, in which seedlings are transplanted, must be pre-filled with superphosphate (in the amount of three grams per well). If the bushes bloomed before planting in open ground, they should be removed.

Seedlings in containers

In order to obtain a satisfactory crop, the plant must be formed into one stem.

When seedlings appear, the shelter from polyethylene or glass is removed so that it does not interfere with the seedlings to develop. Young plants are watered every two to three days. With the formation of a whitish coating on the soil, it is immediately removed, otherwise it will inhibit the growth of seedlings.

Over the entire growth period, extra shoots should be removed. If desired, you can leave only the one that formed above the first brush. Lateral processes also need to be removed.

  1. Pasynkovka has a positive effect on the development of the fruit. They will acquire a more saturated color, accelerate their growth rate and become larger.
  2. Removing stepsons is best done in the morning about once every ten days. Deformed ovaries also need to be removed. If the leaves are in contact with the soil, then they must be picked. Dirty leaves are a source of late blight.
  3. The soil needs to be prepared in the fall. It is necessary to bring humus, nitroammophosk, superphosphate under digging.
  4. In March, the soil must be loosened and sprinkled with wood ash. Seedlings are planted in rows with a distance between the bushes of 60 cm. After planting, tomatoes are watered under the root.
  5. Tomato Gunin needs at least two top dressings (1 tablespoon of superphosphate per 10 liters of water) and prevention from fungal and viral diseases.
  6. When planting in open ground, plants are buried by one third and sprinkled with earth for the development of additional roots.
