Larch oiler (another name - elegant oiler) is one of many mushrooms in the oiler family. It grows mainly near larch (although it is sometimes found in places where this tree is absent), the hat is painted in bright yellow, brown-yellowish or orange shades (depending on the subspecies). There are two of them, but, in addition to the color of the hat, they have no differences.

The diameter is 3-15 centimeters, the shape is conical or in the form of a hemisphere, in adults it is almost flat with the edges bent up. The color is lemon yellow, orange yellow or golden brown.

The skin is smooth, sticky, removed with some difficulty. Be sure to shine if the weather is dry.

The flesh of the mushroom is yellowish, under the skin it turns brown in the air. In young specimens, the fracture does not change color; in mature specimens, it becomes pinkish and acquires a brown color. The fungus has a tubular layer, the tubules are covered with a yellow blanket, then it disappears and the fungus remains a yellowish ring that encircles the leg.

Leg from 5 to 11 centimeters, with a diameter of 1-3 centimeters. It can be cylindrical, curved or in the form of a club. There is a sharp difference in the colors above and below the ring: in the upper part it is lemon-colored, in the lower - red-brown.

The pores are rounded yellow, if pressed on, they acquire a brownish tint. The color of the spores is olive or ocher.

Where grow

Larch butterflies grow mainly in coniferous forests near firs, pines, cedars and larches, preferring most often just the last species of trees, and they love to grow under young trees. The spread of mushrooms is wide - the Far East, Primorye, the Urals, Siberia, North America, Europe - the main thing is that the forest has sour soil.

Most often they bear fruit in small groups, but they can grow alone, from the end of June to mid-September, when frosts come. They are tied to a tree, forming mycorrhiza with it, and can long and successfully grow under it until it dies - with the death of the tree, the mycelium also disappears.

Edibility
