However, the maximum temperature does not exceed the mark of 95 degrees, so the housewives resort to the "grandmother" methods.

White things are whimsical to use, so they are more often boiled. In order not to disrupt the structure of the fabric, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the technology of boiling. Consider effective methods.

Salt
For the most part, saline is used to whiten grayed or yellowed products.

  1. Soak things immediately before boiling. To prepare the solution, pour 5 liters of water into the basin, add 1 kg. salt, leave the laundry for 1.5 hours.
  2. Pour the liquid into an enameled container, move things, put on the stove.
  3. Boil over medium heat for half an hour.
  4. After the expiration, cool at room temperature and wring it out carefully, being careful not to damage the shape of the product and the structure of the fabric.

Potassium permanganate
Contrary to the fact that the composition has a characteristic crimson hue, manganese perfectly bleaches clothes. Pre-soak things are not required, you can immediately begin to prepare a solution for boiling.

  1. Dilute 3-4 potassium permanganate crystals in a pot / bucket of cold water. Do not overdo it, the composition should turn out to be pale pink.
  2. Thoroughly mix the solution, add the detergent in an amount of 70 g. per 1 liter of water. Wait for the granules to dissolve.
  3. Put things in the container, do not tamp much. Boil the products for no longer than 45 minutes, then turn off the stove and immediately remove the laundry.
  4. Do hand or machine wash, hang dry on the balcony, avoiding direct sunlight.

Chlorine
The method is considered the most effective, chlorine-containing preparations return the linen to its former whiteness, eliminating the gray or yellow tint. The method is suitable only for cotton products, we will analyze the steps step by step.

  1. Prepare an enameled container, inside which there is no rust or plaque, otherwise you will ruin the clothes.
  2. Pour cold water into the pan. Add the powder and bleach in equal proportions (1 g of water accounts for 40 grams of each component).
  3. Put on the stove, boil the linen for 35-60 minutes. Stir products periodically with a wooden spatula or special pliers.
  4. At the end of the procedure, remove the laundry, rinse it and hang it to dry in fresh air. Avoid direct sunlight, as white spots form on them due to them.

Hydrogen peroxide
The peroxide solution acts in the same way as the salt. The composition bleaches grayed and yellowed things.

Hydrogen Peroxide for Boiling Laundry

  1. Fill a basin with 5 liters of cold water, pour 125 ml. hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of 3-6%.
  2. Put in the linen, cover the container with a bag or film, soak for 1-1.5 hours (for the first time it is better to choose the minimum exposure time).
  3. Pour the solution along with the laundry into the pan, put on the stove, boil for 30-45 minutes.

You can also replace peroxide with hydroperitol, the drug is available in tablets. To prepare a solution using this tool, dilute the composition at the rate of 1.5 tablets of gibroperite per 1 liter of water. The procedure for soaking and subsequent boiling is identical.

Soda
To effectively whiten white products, it is enough to use the funds that are in the arsenal of any housewife.

  1. Prepare a solution for soaking. Pour 450 g. soda in a basin with 6 liters of cold water, mix the composition until the granules dissolve.
  2. Soak the laundry, wrap the container with polyethylene or cling film, leave to soak for 45 minutes.
  3. Take the maximum concentration soap (72%), rub it with stains, or treat the whole thing. The underwear should be painted in a characteristic brown shade, so you will understand that there is enough soap. Next, pour things with boiling water.
  4. Rub a half of the soap bar on a grater, add to the enameled container. Transfer the soaking composition there, move the laundry. Boil for 40-50 minutes, then turn off the stove and leave for 3 hours.
  5. At the end of time, stretch things manually or use the machine, turning on intensive mode.

Boric acid
The tool does an excellent job of whitening everyday wear, as it is gentle in comparison with other technologies. An important feature of boric acid is considered to be an effective fight against fungus.

  1. Dilute 110 ml to prepare the solution. boric acid with 4 liters of water, add 100 ml. lemon juice.
  2. Put in a bowl with the composition of the thing, leave to soak for 40-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour the solution with the linen into an enameled pan, boil for at least 1 hour.
  4. After boiling, spread the products by hand or use a machine. Dry only in the fresh air away from ultraviolet radiation.

Practical recommendations

  1. Do not boil colored linen, it will fade and acquire an incomprehensible color.
  2. It is allowed to boil very light jeans, in which case the exposure time should not exceed the mark of 45 minutes.
  3. You can boil things for the smallest, the question becomes especially relevant during the healing period of the navel. In this case, the procedure time is 20 minutes, and the solution is prepared on the basis of children's soap.

Watch the duration of boiling, each method has a different one. Do not add the amount of ingredients, in case of an incomplete result, repeat the procedure. Use only enameled cookware without rust and plaque.
