How to wash a laminate without stains: useful tips

No matter how ridiculous it sounds, it’s extremely difficult to wash a laminate without stains. A correctly carried out procedure guarantees you a brilliant coating and a well-groomed appearance, because the floor sets the tone for the entire room. However, a violation of technology leads to the formation of white spots, the laminate becomes dull, ugly. To avoid such a situation, it is important to adhere to practical recommendations regarding the choice of cleaning agent and wet cleaning in general.

Wet cleaning technology

In almost all modern apartments and houses, a laminate is laid. The problem of wet cleaning becomes especially urgent in those rooms that are walk-through.
It is difficult to wash the coating without streaks because running water contains a lot of alkali, which in combination with cleaning products gives the same whitish hue.

Do not use rags or sponges with hard elements (embroidery, buttons, seams, etc.) to wash the laminated coating, as they leave ugly stripes. In addition, when treating the floor with a rough brush, you run the risk of leaving microcracks on the laminate that, under the influence of water, will “spill over”.

3. Before starting to wash the coating, make sure that there are no small stones, grains of sand and crumbs. To do this, it is recommended to sweep the floor.
4. Give preference only to means "for a laminate", refuse purchase of compositions for a tile or linoleum.
5. It is important to understand that high heat treatment is detrimental to the state of the coating. For these reasons, do not use steam cleaners; under the influence of temperature, moisture clots will penetrate the cracks between the panels, which will inevitably lead to bloating.
6. Avoid cleaning products that contain alkali and acid. The tip is extremely relevant if your laminate has a glossy surface.

3. To get rid of adhered building materials, pour a small amount of the composition onto the stain, wait about two minutes, remove the residues with a soft cloth from microfiber.
4. If after cleaning, gaps or scratches appear on the laminate, mask them with a wax pencil and rub them in well.
5. Finish off by washing the floors, moving the mop from one edge of the wall to the other. If necessary, perform wet cleaning 2-3 times using professional cleaning products.
