To avoid such a situation, it is important to adhere to practical recommendations regarding the choice of cleaning agent and wet cleaning in general.

How to wash a laminate without streaks

Wet cleaning technology

In almost all modern apartments and houses, a laminate is laid. The problem of wet cleaning becomes especially urgent in those rooms that are walk-through.
It is difficult to wash the coating without streaks because running water contains a lot of alkali, which in combination with cleaning products gives the same whitish hue.

  1. To prevent light streaks, neutralize water with table vinegar. Prepare the solution: pour 550 ml. composition in 2.5 liters of running water, mix.
  2. When the cleaning agent is ready, pay attention to the tool with which the cleaning will be carried out. You will need to purchase a special microfibre mop that has an adjustment lever for more gentle cleaning. Important! Old t-shirts and other fleecy rags cannot be used as tools. This is especially true for colored products, they make the surface dull. The advice applies not only to cleaning the laminate, but also to linoleum and parquet.
  3. After all preparations, rinse the soft nozzle of the squeegee with water, wring it out, dip it into the solution, wait 3 minutes. After the expiration date, remove excess water, start washing the coating. Follow the procedure with the windows open so that puddles and wet spots do not form on the floor.
  4. Your mop moves should resemble a snake. You can also move from one wall to another, but then the squeegee should go parallel to the laid laminate panels. After wet cleaning, do not close the windows.
  5. In cases where large puddles have formed on the coating, they must be eliminated until the floor begins to dry. Wipe the laminate with a lint-free cloth; if possible, walk along the surface with an almost dry mop. Such a move must be made to prevent the appearance of stains and swelling of the panels.

Important!
Do not use rags or sponges with hard elements (embroidery, buttons, seams, etc.) to wash the laminated coating, as they leave ugly stripes. In addition, when treating the floor with a rough brush, you run the risk of leaving microcracks on the laminate that, under the influence of water, will “spill over”.

Choosing a Laminate Detergent

The main feature of coating care is that it is necessary to use only special products marked "for laminate".

Choosing a Laminate Detergent

When laying the laminate, consult with a specialist what cleaning agents are allowed to wash the coating. Many drugs are inherently extremely aggressive, they can lead to deformation and swelling of the panels.
